Welcome back! The new calendar year is certain to bring thoughts of planning and preparation for the next school year. As educators, we always have to stay one step ahead and let the data guide us. Now that you have half the school year’s evaluations, observations and student data available, it’s the perfect time to begin planning for your end-of-year and summer professional development.
The Teaching & Learning team, along with Finance, Communications, Legal, and Technology, are putting the final touches on the professional development catalog, which outlines our offerings for the 2018-2019 school year. A huge thanks to each of you who participated in our PD Needs Survey; we used the data to guide us as we brainstormed together to give you exactly what you need at your school sites! This year our catalog will be offered solely online. When you click on a session you would like to book for your staff, it will link directly to our PD request form. We will loop back with you to confirm receipt and participant details. Look for our Friday News Briefs throughout January where we will announce the roll-out! We already have a few professional development sessions listed for January, February and March 2018. Visit us here and sign up.
Looking forward to more Teaching & Learning in 2018,
Jamila MacArthur
