Overwhelmed? We Can Help!

It’s finally fall, y’all! I know you’ve been busy with teacher evaluations, data analysis, sports events--the list goes on. It can absolutely be overwhelming, but we are always here to help. Many of you use the NWEA MAP assessment to measure student growth, which provides powerful data to help you set your instructional priorities and create student interventions.

We have several upcoming MAP trainings, both on- and off-site! Join us at OPSRC in Tulsa or OKC for an administrator series that we presented at Fusion, NWEA’s national conference, that helps school leaders identify which reports to use during which testing cycle. In addition, we will review and create professional development plans for data usage for staff throughout the school year. You can see all of our upcoming events at opsrc.net/events. You don’t want to miss this one!

Further, if you’re searching for data analysis tools, staff professional development sessions or PLC protocols and agendas, let the T&L team know. We want to help you use your data to its fullest potential to drive your decision making and teaching. If you’d like to troubleshoot with data meetings or trends in your data one-on-one with our staff, please don’t hesitate to email us at jamila.macarthur@opsrc.net or jean.potter@opsrc.net.

Also, exciting news for T&L and the entire OPSRC staff--we are hiring! If you know somebody who may be interested in joining our T&L team to lead our strategic initiatives, please direct them to our newest job opening to learn more about the job and its impact on educators statewide.

And last, but definitely not least, we are still accepting applications for our Oklahoma Teacher Leadership & Learning (OTLL) cohort. OTLL provides opportunities for experienced or master teachers to lead PD projects that enhance their professionalism and skills, extend their learning and share their expertise with others. The annual program is designed with the recognition that ongoing teacher learning is vital in supporting the goals of the Teaching and Learning vision: Learn Now, Expand Today, Use Tomorrow. Apply or nominate a teacher today.
