We all wish we had more opportunities for it. Whether you're facing time constraints or distance, OPSRC wants to help! Every year in August, we get many requests to travel to individual sites for professional development, and we want to continue meeting all your needs.
We all wish we had more opportunities for it. Whether you're facing time constraints or distance, OPSRC wants to help! Every year in August, we get many requests to travel to individual sites for professional development, and we want to continue meeting all your needs. We know February is the month many of our members will have their 2018-2019 calendars approved, but before you finalize, please reach out to your surrounding districts to coordinate training events. Your district can host OPSRC Collaborative Days, which are PD events where OPSRC brings multiple trainers to offer multiple workshops at district leaders' request. Oh, and the best part, breakfast and lunch are on us! If you’d like to host a Collaborative Day or just want to schedule a workshop at your site, please complete our PD Request Form!
Our 2018-19 PD catalog will drop on Friday, February 16th. This year, the catalog will be offered solely online and will include expanded offerings in:
Student Professional Development
Classroom Management and School Culture
Meeting the Needs of English Language Learners
Using Data to Drive Instruction
Legal Support and Guidance
Social Media and Communication
When you click on a session you would like to book for your staff, it will link directly to our PD Request form. We will loop back with you to confirm receipt and participant details. We already have a few PD sessions at OPSRC listed for February 2018. Visit here to sign up.

October marks the time each year when we bring attention to bullying prevention: how to identify, prevent and report it. It's important to have a specific month designated as National Bullying Prevention month, but bullying has become so rampant in our schools that it's a good idea to keep resources handy to educate students year-round on this harmful and serious problem.
The OPSRC tech team went to San Francisco this past week for the Google Next Conference, and it was not only a great time in cool San Francisco weather, but it was also a great learning opportunity for us. We picked up a lot of things that we’re eager to share with you.
