This past week, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) issued an interim guidance document on campus sexual misconduct in advance of final rule making on schools’ responsibilities under Title IX to respond to sexual misconduct complaints.
Oh, the hot days of summer! As educators, this is the calm before the August storm, and for parents this is the time when boredom begins to set in. I recently read two articles that rejuvenated two “old-fashion” ideas/activities: coloring and reading to our children (no matter what the age).
Consider involving teachers in the planning process as much as possible to honor the experience, expertise, and knowledge your staff has.
Keep your parents informed when a situation arises in your district.
