We’re back in business, everybody! It was such a pleasure spending the summer with so many of you. We had a great time hosting you at OPSRC and an even better time spending the day with you at your school sites learning about the great work you do on a daily basis.

The election may not have gone your way. I must admit, I’m cautiously optimistic about the impact of the new administration. There is one thing I know for sure: the president has a lot of work to do to get this economy moving.

This first week of May marks Teacher Appreciation Week, so I hope you will take time to communicate your gratitude for the teachers who have helped shape your life and who are shaping your children's lives.
