Goodness it got hot! Sadly, it looks like the mild summer has ended. As the temperatures warm, the calendar turns to August and we head back to school, I hope you found time to rest, relax and recharge.
Every school year brings its unique challenges. Let’s all hope it’s not to the level of last year. There are the inevitable twists and turns a school year brings. But each year is a blessing in the work that we do. The struggles are real, the challenge is hard but the journey is worth it for all the students we impact and all the thousands of interactions that make a difference--even the ones we never know about but they happened.

When we released the June finance report last week, we included a positive set of numbers and facts in it. We see continued recovery in the revenue streams for education, and it does look like we may actually get out of this year without a revenue inconvenience.
As we begin the new financial year, it is important to remember a few critical posting requirements for financial transparency and policy items.
Spring is just around the corner: a time when many people hold their annual household's deep cleaning to rid themselves of unwanted clutter.
Before, during, and after the walkout, I talked to superintendents and school leaders about its legal and be, affected. It was fascinating to be in the school business during this time and to experience working with them through many issues none of us had yet encountered.
