Using Google to Save Money in Places You Didn’t Expect

You may not know about some of the solutions Google has to offer schools!
There are many schools that have discovered Google Apps for Education, or as it’s called now G Suite for Education. Schools and districts statewide have found uses for Gmail, Google Drive and Google Classroom.
On top of that, many districts have found the benefit of using Chromebooks and other Chrome devices. They’re affordable, durable and work great with the suite of tools Google provides. They’re also very easy for schools to roll out and manage. It cuts down on IT costs and makes getting devices into the classroom very easy.
As we’ve covered before here in this newsletter, Google has Chromebooks, Chromeboxes, Chromebases and Chromebits.
This isn’t news to anyone. But Google also provides devices and hardware for solutions that small schools typically can’t afford. Google has video equipment for video conferencing, digital signage and kiosks as well, so let's explore what these solutions can do for you:
Most schools would love to incorporate long-distance learning technology, but typical video conferencing carts cost a small fortune. Google has a great selection of tools to be used for digital signage as well. If you’re a district that would like to use digital signage on your campus but you haven’t been able to afford expensive enterprise solutions, the good news is that Google has devices that will work for you, from Chromebits and Chromebases to a specially-designed rugged Chromebox to survive in challenging situations.
