One thing I hear from schools all the time is that they need textbooks. With the hits school budgets have been taking, schools haven’t had the money to adopt new textbooks, and now the textbook fund has been completely zeroed out.
What a whirlwind August was! Through conducting on-site trainings and regional professional days over the last month, the Teaching & Learning team was honored to teach and learn with nearly 2,000 educators across the state.
Being neighborly costs nothing, but its value is beyond calculation. As I headed to the land of “Snowmegaddon” this past week to help my daughter with our 9-month old granddaughter, I witnessed many acts of random kindness as neighbors shoveled sidewalks and strangers gave up their airplane seats so parents & children could sit together.
