The school year is over, summer break has begun and teachers all over are getting a well-deserved break. I hope that you get the rest and relaxation you need to recharge your batteries! If there’s one thing I’ve learned in education, however, it’s that teachers don't really take summer off.
This past weekend, I was traveling and lost my Kindle, and I am quite sad. Of course, I was in the middle of a good read and will now have to wait to either check the book out from the library or purchase another e-reader.

With education budgets continuing their decline and class sizes on the rise, it is even more critical to empower students with the ability to be in the driver's seat of their own learning and to empower teachers to serve in the role of learning facilitator.
