I hope everyone is having a great end to the school year. I know you're now in a race to the finish and everyone is really busy, but I wanted to let you know about some new training I’m doing.

Technology is all around us in our schools. In fact, in recent years it seems that the challenge for districts isn’t getting technology to the classroom but trying to leverage that technology and use it properly in the classroom.

The current state of the budget crisis in education is many things: frightening, discouraging, anger inducing, sad. But we must communicate the accurate and most recent facts we know about the situation to our concerned parents and communities on a regular basis.

As we move into the end of the new fiscal year's first quarter, there are signs that the state’s economy is continuing to improve. We'll have a good idea after the next collection cycle if the trend toward improving collections will be sustained.
