This first week of May marks Teacher Appreciation Week, and I hope you will take time to communicate your gratitude for the teachers who have helped shape your life and who are shaping your children's lives.

Technology is all around us in our schools. In fact, in recent years it seems that the challenge for districts isn’t getting technology to the classroom but trying to leverage that technology and use it properly in the classroom.

It is the leadership at the top that nurtures the culture of success. The Wall Street Journal published in last Saturday’s Weekend edition an article by Richard Grant, describing a turnaround school in the Mississippi Delta.
